Dream Theater – Chaos In Motion [DVD] [Download]

American progressive metal titans announce the imminent release of DVD “Chaos in Motion 2007/2008″ — a kind of report on the Chaos in Motion world tour, which began on June 3, 2007 at the Monsters of Rock festival” in Milan and ended on June 4 this year with a group performance in San Juan, Puerto Rico. On September 23, two versions of this DVD will be released on Roadrunner Records. The standard edition consists of two discs with concert and backstage shots, video clips and other additional materials. In addition to two DVDs, the collection publication also included three CD with audio version of concert material.
Tour “Chaos in Motion” consisted of 115 concerts in 105 cities of 35 countries located on five continents. The group performed in front of hundreds of thousands of fans. The final stage of the world tour was the American tour “Progressive Nation” — the first of its kind. The idea of this tour arose in the group a few years ago, and only this spring the musicians were able to put it into practice.
“Chaos in Motion 2007/2008” will contain recordings of various concerts given by a group in different parts of the world — this distinguishes it from the previous three DVDs DREAM THEATER, that were based on one particular concert. By the way, all three — “Metropolis 2000: Live Scenes from New York”, “Live at Budokan” and “Score” — were awarded platinum status in the United States.
The drummer of the group and the creative director of the new DVD Mike Portnoy rummaged through his personal archives to provide the public with the best recordings from this tour. He mounted more than three hours of video containing filming in Rotterdam, Buenos Aires, Toronto, Boston, Bangkok and Vancouver. Kevin Shirley was involved in mixing audio tracks. The second disc contains additional materials: video clips, a photo gallery, as well as mini-films that were shown on the screen behind the backs of musicians during performances. An hour and a half documentary about tours also hit the second disc, which will allow everyone to feel like a tour bus passenger DREAM THEATER. The viewer will go with the group the full path from the road to the — stage is a real pass to the tour life of the team.
